Had to bring Jeffery in because he had a seizure of some sort. The vet techs were really awesome, friendly and professional. The vet himself was very nice and to the point. Given the option to bring him home, I brought Jeff home because we wanted him here with us. They were quick, courteous and thoughtful with Jeffery. I was also given two options for care. And, the original estimate was lowered. They are very fair with their charges. They also followed up to see if he is doing well. Thanks you guy. PS Jeff is doing much better now. He's moving around, eating and drinking. Hopefully this was a small setback.

I never thought I’d end up at an emergency clinic with my sweet Baby Kitty last night but I did. He was in respiratory distress when I got home from work. Drooling and desperately struggling to breathe. Being a nursing professor I knew he needed help……but where to take him? Certainly not Temecula Emergency Vet Clinic on Jefferson……I’d heard bad things over the years. I even had a bad experience there with my dog so many years ago but, my cat wasn’t going to make it if I took longer to drive anyplace else……..it was after hours after all. Let me publicly say that taking my kitty to these wonderful people was the right choice and i would do it again. My baby ended up not surviving and I am absolutely heartbroken, but, Dr. Owens and Thomas were exceptional with us. It was meant to be that I brought my boy to them last night………especially since i was headed to another hospital much farther away. I know how hard it is to deal with grieving, frightened, confused, and anxious families and watch them go through the early stages of grief (sometimes quickly) right before your eyes……I’m an intensive care nurse for children and infants. Dr. Owens…..you handled my frantic, 100mph “nurse talk” blubbering in your face when I arrived just beautifully……..as if I thought caring for a cat in respiratory distress was anywhere near like a human…….I learned tonite that it is not……..you are truly an asset to your profession and I will recommend you to everyone I know. Thank you for your compassionate care of my Baby Kitty while we said goodbye. You were amazing! Your soft voice and love toward Baby Kitty while he was dying was seen and so much appreciated. And Thomas…….where do I begin? I tell my nursing students that I cannot possibly give them the playbook for every possible death and dying scenario regarding how to act or what to say with and to patients and families dealing with this because there are just too many variables that can come into play………much of it is instinctive, not planned……….provide silent compassion if you’re not sure what to say? Maybe provide a comforting touch to the shoulder or hand? Or, do you say something? Choices the provider has to make often quickly. This is the most difficult part…….what to say? …..Thomas, your 1st words to me in the lobby after seeing my tear-stained face anxiously asking for my kitty’s lab results were, “You’re handling this so well………”. You took a chance and opened dialogue with me………and after that, the rapport was made. Your words to my daughter and I and the manner with which you handled every aspect of the death and dying process (to include after care) was beautiful. Perfect. You have a calling sweet Thomas to be there to care for our beloved animals and their families. I am so glad you were there with us. Meant to be. I want you to know you made this journey bearable for us. Thank you so so much. Your gentle voice and calm demeanor resonated so much with both my daughter and I. She had such good things to say about you (and Dr. Owens) on our lonely drive home. Anyway, I apologize for such a long post but I suppose it part of my grieving to review the events of last night with anyone that cares to read. Take your pets to this ER hospital, they truly care about our pets. Thank you all.

We had a very good experience at EPIC emergency vet clinic. We brought in our dog after he had a cluster of seizures and they were able to bring him back for evaluation and treatment right away. The front office and vet techs were all very empathetic and helpful. The doctors we worked with over our dog’s hospitalization — Dr. Pace, Dr. Saaiman, and Dr. Bryden — were excellent. They were extremely knowledgeable and took the time to walk us through his test results, the literature on his condition, and our treatment options. The doctors also called us regularly to update us on his condition. We knew our dog was in great hands. Yes, the cost of treatment can be very expensive, but that’s just the nature of needing emergency services and paying out of pocket. I haven’t done a comparison, but I imagine their prices are similar to any other emergency vet clinic. They provide a range of estimates up front so you know what you’re getting into and offer financing options if needed. I have nothing but great things to say about this place and would highly recommend.

1230am and our senior cat had a seizure, after possibly having a stroke that day. He was holding on for us and we were holding on to him, EPC took us in with open arms. Kayla was compassionate and very professional. We were very informed of options, however we all knew it was time to say goodbye, they let us love on him as long as needed to say goodbye. Our kitty “Bitten” let us know.

After my Yorkie chase our cat he started coughing trying to catch his breath. I took him to Epic Vet at 11 pm. They saw us shortly after arrival. Doctor came in with diagnosis and would make a plan for treatment. I declined most of procedures because my normal vet could take care of those the following day. They prescribed medications to help his condition. Arrived at 11 pm checked out at 3 am. I went to my normal vet in the morning for his x-ray. They concurred diagnosis and meds prescribed by Epic Vet were correct and added one more prescription. My Vet had also referred me to a surgeon, Dr Kim with Central Orange County Emergency Animal Hospital in Newport Beach. Trachea Stent surgery was done by Dr Kim on May 7th. Thank you Dr Randall Brayden for accurate diagnosis and medication treatment which provided help until getting to the surgeon.

I was here the other day with an extremely unfortunate emergency situation. Although the outcome was not what I had hoped it would be I have to thank the Vets and technicians. They were extremely compassionate and did everything in their power to help myself and the dog I brought in. I am so grateful for all of their hard work and dedication to the animals they see. As much as I hope to never have an emergency like this again I take comfort in knowing this office is available. Thank you all again for helping me in a terrible situation.

I want to thank all the staff for taking good care of my pug, Abby. My dog suffered an eye injury and I had a hard time finding a vet office that would take her same day. I’m very grateful that this place was able to take Abby in! Everyone was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The doctor and front desk explained everything in detail to me. I really appreciated that. My dog is with me now resting and doing well. I will follow the instructions and hope for a speedy recovery. Thank you very much Emergency Pet Clinic of Temecula! Our pet pug Pudgy's health had deteriorated suddenly and rapidly over two days. We took him in to check on his heart, but it all looked normal. The next day, he suffered a really bad seizure that no one saw coming, and was barely clinging to life, so we rushed him back there to euthanize him; he was too far-gone by that point. They took him immediately and moved us to a private area while they prepped the room where he would be put to sleep. (They had just euthanized another dog before we arrived, so I imagine they had to clean, restock tissues, etc.) When we moved to the room and they brought in Pudgy, they were very compassionate and gave us as much private time as we needed both before and after he was put to sleep. It was a very peaceful setting, with Pudgy wrapped in a nice blanket and surrounded by his family. I never did get a chance to thank the doctor who administered the drug--Dr. Petrucci, I believe--so on behalf of my family, I'd like to thank her and everyone else who quickly and painlessly ended his suffering, because he was suffering heavily during those last two days. It's been a tough adjustment to life without him, but we're coming to terms with it. I hope you folks are staying strong, because euthanizing two dogs back to back is certainly a job I don't envy. Again, thank you for making Pudgy's end a peaceful one; it means so much to us. R.I.P Pudgy (04/25/06 - 02/04/23)
